What a Bargain!

I bought 3 of these machines and so far I’ve been very impressed. Two of them I use at our flower shops and the other at home and they’re great! The description really doesn’t play-up the printer capabilities, probably because it doesn’t come with software. But all I had to do is download the driver for the PC from the Brother site and it makes a great printer. For $60 bucks, you can’t beat it.

Best FAX I’ve owned

Pros:
Easy to operate, good instruction manual,and most of all you can have a phone answering machine and not have to pay for another phone line or pay for a ditinctive ring from your phone company.
cons:
Instructions on using the *,5,1 to transfer phone calls to Fax machine when one has a TAD could be clearer.

First Fax Machine – No Problem

I will admit I haven’t had the product very long and I am not a high volume faxer but so far this product has been very reliable and easy to set up and use. Many features at a very reasonable price. Its a nice looking machine too

This company is the master of fax machines

As with all Brother fax machines, I have found this one be extremely durable and really fast which cuts down on your fax bill. The quality of the fax is very clear. This machine has a redial setting that instantly redials the number after 5 minutes if the number is first busy. It also prints a reports sheet after faxing 2 or more faxes at a time to give you confirmation of the faxes. Awesome machine. Great price, Great quality. If you need a fax machine, get this machine.

For the price this is an excellent fax & printer.
Easy to operate. I wish the SCREEN had a light when you punched buttons other than that missing feature I like the product. Ink cartridges are inexpensive to replace is another reason I choose the product

Won’t change distinctive rings.

Overall, I’m pleased with this fax machine. Unfortunately, there is one issue which poses a problem. As I set up a new home office, I made some changes to our phone service which affected the distinctive ring that cues the fax machine. This machine can record only one ring pattern, only one time. It simply won’t recognize any other patterns. If you have a dedicated line and don’t expect to make any changes, this machine is great.

Brother 1860c Fax/Copy Review

The performance of this Brother 1860c machine (color fax/copy combo) has exceeded my expectations. The setup was very easy, the paper tray concerns noted in other reviews weren’t a problem, and if the need arose, I’d buy another.

What, a deal?

This unit has been around for a couple of years. I bought 3 of these 2 years ago from Amazon for half ($60.00) what they are selling it for here and I left a good review which was here for a long time. It’s a good machine for $60.00, but I’d shop this one because there are still sellers (RS Electronics, for one) selling it for $65.00 brand new. A little disappointed in Amazon this time.

Don’t buy this for black and white use only!

I purchased this product to use strictly to send and receive black and white faxes for a 5 person office. It worked great until the color cartridges dried up. After 6 months I had to purchase a set of color ink cartridges just to print out the black and white faxes. A call to Brother’s customer service revealed that there is no way around this problem. To spend $45 every 6 months on wasted consumables makes no sense to me! The machine has been fast and trouble free and does produce clear faxes and copies. We have not used the phone feature.

If they weren’t more expensive, I would have preferred a laser copier and/or fax. The Brother item is okay, but seems a little cheaper than what I believe a laser would be. I was constricted by price and the machine I bought will suffice.

don’t buy this. it has a flaw

The fax is very nice and easy to use BUT IT WILL STOP WORKING! It will say it needs new ink, but the ink is still full. After replacing ALL of ink (even the ones that’s not used up), it will start working again, but same problem happened a several month later. Brother won’t provide support because it happened after 1 year of use.
Very frustrating.

Don’t bother wth this brother

Never used color cartridges and they said they were out of ink. This machine will not print at all without all the cartridges registering ink, so it just stores all the incoming faxes in its Que even if your black cartridge is full. I will save the 50 dollars on cartridges and put it towards an hp laser fax. I don’t call this a flaw I call it a lousy product by design.
