The finish is a very nice cherry tone and the handles are very nice. It was not too difficult to put together, my hubby did it by himself in about 2 hours. All pieces were there and none were damamged. You do have to be careful as it does look like it will scratch easily. There is a very nice work space and 2 drawers and 2 cabinets that will hold all that is necessary. <br />I bought this when it was on sale and with the free shipping it was quite a deal. Glad I made this purchase. A very beautiful desk at an affordable price.
